As i look back on my simple life
The hard times with stress and strife
Were easy cause you were there
A blanket of love and care
You cooked, cleaned and looked after me
put a band-aid on my scraped knee
told me stories that were fun
I love you mom, more than a ton
You pretended to call the mothers Hotline
to get a new mother
Me and Zachary cried
we wouldnt want no other
When we had splinters
you got really excited
got out your needle and tweezers
and without pain, you got it
When dad tried to make us take a nap
he had no win
For you gave us snacks and told us stories
and we fell fast asleep
Christmas time came around
you and dad shopped around town
event though finances were low
opening our presents, our faces would glow
If love could me measured in gallons
mom, you would be like the ocean
Though your bad side is sharp like tallons
Your words are soft like lotion
You are the best mom
That i could ever have
